With its 250 inhabitants, its 1,200 meters above sea level and its 600 years of age, the village of Sarreyer is known as one of the most beautiful and ancient Alpine villages in Switzerland. A museum of the ancestral mountain lifestyle. A timeless treasure a short drive from the lively resort of Verbier. Only 10 minutes by car from Le Châble, where you will find the train station with trains to Geneva airport, but also the ski lifts with direct access to the resorts of Verbier, Bruson and the 4 Vallées ski area: one of the largest ski areas in the world, culminating at 3300 meters above sea level and offering more than 400 km of slopes. Supermarkets, pharmacies and sports rental shops are open all year round. Only 40 minutes by car are necessary to reach the city of Martigny. Nestled in the heart of the village, our accommodation "Les Granges de Sarreyer" is the result of the combination of two very old hay barns (Raccard) joined together and renovated with authenticity and character. This spacious chalet thus combines tradition, high-end materials and modernity. Established on three levels, it can accommodate up to 12 or 13 people who will enjoy its 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a modern and fully equipped kitchen open to a living room, a large living room with designer fireplace, but also a space thermal spa with jacuzzi with sound and light, sauna and relaxation area. A home cinema space completes this equipment: LCD, DVD, Wi-Fi, play station and more. The chalet also has a utility room with washing machine and dryer, two balconies with breathtaking views of the mountains and three free parking spaces in front of the chalet. The second largest Swiss nature reserve, the Haut Val de Bagnes has been a protected area since 1968. It is home to exceptional flora and many animals. Ibexes, chamois and marmots are never far away! In winter, the region offers several sports activities: cross-country skiing at Plamproz, ski touring routes or ice climbing. In summer, the Haut Val de Bagnes is full of cultural riches to discover and observe, both in the wild houses and on the Mauvoisin dam as well as on the various mountain pastures. Located in Bonatchiesse, the Géoparc offers a rock garden, a reflection of the region's mineral heritage. Sports enthusiasts will not be outdone on the program: hiking, road biking, mountain biking, climbing or via ferrata. Connected to the 4 Valleys, Verbier is part of the largest ski area in Switzerland with 410 km of slopes. With activities such as ski touring or heli-skiing; without forgetting the freeride whose numerous marked out routes have a world fame, the field does not miss attractiveness. But the joys of skiing are not just for skiers and snowboarders: snowshoeing, hiking or cross-country skiing trails allow you to work out in the great outdoors and at your own pace. Possibility to rent two electric bikes on site (CHF 50 .-- per day) Special notes regarding property cleaning and preparation protocols: Since the beginning of the COVID 19 crisis in March 2020, we have fully equipped and trained our caretakers in the protocols for cleaning and preparing accommodation according to the recommendations of the Swiss and European health authorities, namely: Protective measures for the use of housekeepers Before starting to clean the property, the persons in charge of these services must wash their hands and put on disposable waterproof gloves and must avoid touching their faces when cleaning the premises. Gloves must be discarded after each session. Housekeepers should wash their hands immediately after removing their gloves, and be sure to ventilate and circulate air throughout the property during and after cleaning. Property cleaning: Often touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected after each stay. Frequently affected surfaces include: tables, hard-backed chairs, door handles, stair rails, switches, remote controls, cabinet and closet handles, desks, toilets, sinks and sinks, bedside tables and kitchen worktops and other bathroom surfaces, but also key boxes. A two-step approach is used to ensure the hygiene of these surfaces: to begin with, the janitors use detergent or soap and hot water to clean any traces of dirt on these surfaces, before carrying out a complete disinfection , to eliminate germs. Slightly affected surfaces - Floors, walls, blinds and all other surfaces that are not touched as often are cleaned with hot water and detergent. The disinfection products used are taken from the list established by the Federal Office of Public Health.  Towels, sheets and other household linen - The janitors are provided with disposable gloves when changing the linen. The laundry is washed using the warmest temperature and completely dried. Tourist taxes are payable in cash on site: - Chf 3.00-- per adult and per night - Chf 1.50-- per child and per night
